Physical Education Resources
This site covers anything and everything related to physical education classes (including adapted PE) from grades K-12. I was very impressed with their section on adapted PE lessons. As more students with special needs enter mainstream classes, we need to find ways to fully integrate them into all class activities. When we have examples to follow, the process is much easier to implement. Check out their assessment section if you are looking for new approaches in assessment—they are creative and easy to implement!
PE posters and photos
This Google Search Result offers lots of PE posters and photos. With ELLs, the more posters and visuals you have, the easier it will be for ELLs to follow your lessons.
This is a site dedicated to PE teachers who share their lessons. I found the layout very easy to navigate. I also appreciated their note about contacting them with any dead links. This means that they stay current.
Discovery Education is a teacher’s dream site. Though we are talking about PE here, I use it for literature activities. Here health is addressed at all grade levels. Lessons cover all health topics from nutrition to AIDS.

Use science activities to explore the benefits of physical activities on the human body. There are quizzes to test students’ knowledge of sports trivia and biographies to teach them about famous athletes. You’ll also find math activities on baseball statistics and Olympic writing exercises that build vocabulary.
